FAQ

What is your primary shooting style?

Myself and my fellow photographers aim to cover all bases when we shoot a wedding, including formal shots, artistic details and documentary-style images, but we are perhaps best known for capturing spontaneity and warmth. One sign of a good wedding photographer is the ability to capture candid images – at unexpected moments, and using natural light where possible – and this is something we work very hard at. Furtive kisses, a flashing smile – the small moments that make your big day special.

Can we meet you before our day?

Absolutely. Probably half of our clients like to meet prior to the wedding, the rest are happy to meet on the day – it’s entirely up to you whether you want to have a chat in person first or not. I’m very happy to visit you with some sample photos to show you some of our previous work and discuss your wedding day with you.

Do you use digital cameras?

Yes, we use the latest DSLR equipment, as well as state-of-the-art lenses to make sure that the images we capture are of the highest quality. We also carry spare equipment just in case.

How intrusive will lighting, tripods, equipment or assistants be?

We try our hardest to be as unobtrusive as possible – this helps us capture the most candid moments, and allows you to enjoy your day without the extra hassles. In saying that, it’s impossible to remain completely out of sight all the time!

How many photographers will attend our wedding?

That’s entirely up to you! Our package options will give you a good idea of how much one and two photographers will cost. For larger (and longer) weddings, we recommend two photographers to help manage the formal shots and capture all the guests and the even from several different angles. More photos often means better photos!

Do you travel interstate and overseas?

Absolutely. Hit us on our contact page with specifics.

How many photos will be taken during the wedding?

There is no limit to the number of photos we take, although it’s generally relative to the time we spend at the wedding. For big weddings, and with two photographers, we can easily take well over a thousand pictures.

Do we get a DVD with the high-res images on it?

Yes, you get several! We include all the photos we take on your wedding on disk with all our packages, as well as a folder of the selected shots, a duplicate folder of black-and-white copies, and another folder of the best shots photoshopped in different styles, such as sepia, high-key etc. This will make the task of managing your memories that much easier!

What about copyright? Do I have the rights to my wedding photos?

Yes. You have all rights to the photos we take on your wedding day except commercial rights, which we reserve. In other words, you can share and distribute them as much as you like with family and friends in any format you want, but you can’t sell the images for profit.

What is your payment policy?

Once you decide to go ahead with us, we require one third deposit to secure your date. This can be paid in person or by paypal or direct deposit. We’ll send you the details when you request a booking.
