Mitch & Julia – Lakelands, Gold Coast

Mitch & Julia got married at Lakeland’s Golf Club under a stand of beautiful poincianas. Like all good ceremonies it was short and heart-tuggingly sweet. Julia looked amazing and Mitch didn’t scrub up too badly either; together they’ll make a formidable team! Afterwards they mingled with guests and we took some family photos, and then we went off around the golf course to get some more creative shots before the sun dwindled behind the clubhouse. The reception was both moving and fun, with great speeches and a really cool photo-booth courtesy of the guys from Betty’s Booths.

It was great to finally shoot this wedding, and I can’t say enough about the newly-weds, who were gracious, big-hearted and a true pleasure to work with.

Hailee & Shaun – Byron Bay

Hailee and Shaun got hitched in Byron Bay. It was an outdoor ceremony, with the nuptials taking place under a stand of Norfolk Pines and the bright March sun. Hailee was radiant, always smiling and full of energy, from the morning through to last drinks, and Shaun took everything in his stride, her perfect foil it seemed to me; calm, collected and funny.

It was a great wedding, a beautiful place to shoot and a happy handsome couple. Thank you for having me guys, and all the best for the future. Below is a sneak preview of the 750 photos on the way!

Gemma & Nolan – Cabarita

A few weeks ago my little sister got married. These are some of the photos from her wedding to Nolan Angel, my new brother-in-law. My other sister Lee also helped out with some of the photos. There was probably more celebrating than photographing going on, but we still got some nice shots. It was a great day, and there was hardly a dry eye at the ceremony and the reception. There were many highlights, including an impromptu traditional Korean Paebek ceremony, but for mine the best part was Nolan taking the stage with his band the Genes and then serenading Gemma with a romantic song he’d written for her, which had all the girls gushing. Big brother was impressed!

Congratulations guys, and I’ll probably catch you this weekend!

Ben & Jess – Emerald Lakes

Ben and Jess got hitched at Emmanuel College and had their reception at Garlic Clove at Emerald Lakes, a beautiful restaurant overlooking the cobbled lake-front. It was a dark and stormy day, but the rain held off long enough for us to get some great photos. Jess looked amazing, and Ben scrubbed up pretty well himself! Thank you for having me at your wedding guy, and I hope you like the small sample of photos. The rest are on their way!

Chloe & Matt – Newrybar

Chloe and Matt solidified their union on April 14th at Harvest Cafe, Newrybar. Chloe got ready at in a lovely apartment above Opes Cafe overlooking the luscious Lennox Head. This set the laid-back mood for the rest of the wedding. The new premises at Harvest are amazing. Warm and and funky and brimming with authentic north coast heritage. The food was sublime. The cocktails to die for. Chloe is an hilarious individual and Matt relaxed and open. I had a great time and I loved that I was given the opportunity to put my visual spin on their special day. I wish you both well. I’m sure there are triple the giggles to come. Thanks.

Ann & Michael – Coolibah Downs

Ann and Michael got married at the beautiful Coolibah Downs at Nerang on the Gold Coast, and I was fortunate enough to be chosen by them to photograph their wedding.

It was a beautiful day, bright and sunny and warm, and the weather was matched only by the radiance of the bride as she arrived in her vintage car at the doors of the chapel.

The service was simple and elegant, and after it was finished I took some photos with the newly-weds and the bridal party around the grounds and by the garlanded lake. By the time we were finished dusk was fast on our heels, and we went to the reception marquee, where the final formalities took place, followed by dancing and drinking and good times.

Sherri & Matt – Byron Bay Hinterland

Sherri and Matt tied the knot at Deux Bellettes, a gorgeous country guesthouse in the Byron Bay hinterland. It was a perfect Autumn day, and both the bride and groom looked absolutely picture-perfect.

As a photographer, I can’t ask for more. These are the days I love, that make me thankful for the job I have.

Food was privoded by Eatdrink Catering; entertainment by the wonderful musician Renee Simone, and fun and laughs by the friends and family of Sherri and Matt. I won’t explain all the details of the wonderful day, but will simply urge you to scroll down through the images, which I hope will communicate it better than my words!

Shea & Paul – Currumbin

Shea and Paul got married at Currumbin, with their ceremony on the beach near elephant rock and their reception at the Creek Restaurant, right under a big old fig tree by the river.

This shoot was a photographer’s dream: a handsome couple, beautiful surroundings and lively and fun-loving wedding guests. The day passed by like a breeze, and it was a joy to be a part of it.

Crystal & Alister – Ashmore

Crystal and Alister got married at the Botanic Gardens at Benowa. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm and not too windy. Crystal arrived in a gorgeous old Mercedes, and was absolutely stunning in her white gown. Alister was nervous, but carried himself well through the ceremony, which was a simple and elegant affair. When all was said and done we took some photos at the Gardens, then went to Emerald Lakes for a few more pictures under the stone arches and along the ornate walkways. Afterwards we went back to the reception, which was at the Hinterland Hotel.

It was a beautiful wedding, and I hope my photos have done it justice. Enjoy the sneak preview guys, and all the best for the future!

Nicole & Luke – Robina Woods

They say that it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day, and if that’s the case, Nicole and Luke will be very fortunate in the future! It rained and it rained throughout the day, but thankfully everything was bright and merry inside, both at the church and the reception, and the wedding was a big success. I also got the photos I wanted, though not without getting a little wet!

Nicole and Luke got married at St Vincents Catholic Church, and from there we went to Emerald Lakes for the shoot. Afterwards we went to Robina Woods for the evening formalities. It was lots of fun, although we had to take the family and group photos in the foyer to avoid the weather, they came out very nicely, and everyone was very patient throughout. It’s not an easy thing dragging people way from their food and wine to squash them together for photos, but we pulled it off in the end!

Nicole and Luke are both wonderful, easy-going and patient people, and it was a pleasure to be their photographer for their big day. I wish you guys all the best for the future, and I hope you like the sneak preview below
