Silver Package

The silver package is our most popular option. It gives you a great spread of photos at an affordable price.

The Silver Package comes in two varieties: one or two photographers. Naturally, two photographers will give you lots more photos, and your final collection will be better for it; but one photographer will still guarantee you great photos.

A typical Silver Package begins with me visiting the bride’s house (and the groom, if possible – usually beforehand), and then going to the ceremony about half an hour before it begins. There I will capture the groom waiting with the best men, as well as candid photos of the couple’s friends and family, all gathered and waiting in anticipation! Then I photograph the bride as she arrives, and document her entry into the church and her walk up the aisle. During the ceremony I do my best to be as descreet as possible, while also capturing the ceremony itself – including the kiss, the exchange of rings, and shortly afterwards, the signing of the official documents.

Following the ceremony I’ll take a big group shot of the guests, as well as pictures of family and friends. Then I’ll typically snatch the bride and groom away for an hour or so of special photographs, at one or more locations, often accompanied by the bridal party. For all my weddings I plan this period in advance, and know what shots I want and where.

By now, almost without exception, the bride and groom are running late! So we move off to the reception. I’ll also take photos of the the guests and get some detailed shots of the reception. Then I’ll capture the arrival of the bride and groom, take photos of the guests and take a bunch of other photos that will add to the portfolio of the day’s event. At this point – like at every other moment throughout the day – it’s all about getting creative! If possible, I may even try to sneak the bride and groom off for some final shots near the reception. Many reception locations have great water features, and dusk & nighttime photos can round off a good day’s work. At some point I’ll take photos of the cake-cutting. Often, if the cake-cutting is planned for later in the night, we’ll arrange a quick mock cake cutting.

Two photographers covers the same period of time, but obviously entails close to twice as many shots, from a wider variety of angles, and using several different types of lenses. Sometimes we’ll assign one photographer to document the groom & best men, while the other will stay with the bride as she gets ready. Then, at the ceremony, one photographer will shoot from the front, while the other will range. This is great for big wide-angle shots, and those magical candid photos of guests in profile, as well as a thousand different details that good photographers can pick up as they shoot.

The above scenario is typical, in that it represents a fairly common timeline, but I try my best to take images that are unique and different, that take advantage of features, people and lighting conditions, so that your wedding photos will stand out from all the others. Each wedding presents a unique opportunity to take unique and beautiful photos. Creativity is the key!

That’s a basic run-down of my Silver Package. If you’d like a wedding album as well, make sure you read about our Gold and Platinum packages.

I hope to hear from you!
