Ben & Jess – Emerald Lakes
Ben and Jess got hitched at Emmanuel College and had their reception at Garlic Clove at Emerald Lakes, a beautiful restaurant overlooking the cobbled lake-front. It was a dark and stormy day, but the rain held off long enough for us to get some great photos. Jess looked amazing, and Ben scrubbed up pretty well himself! Thank you for having me at your wedding guy, and I hope you like the small sample of photos. The rest are on their way!
Nicole & Luke – Robina Woods
They say that it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day, and if that’s the case, Nicole and Luke will be very fortunate in the future! It rained and it rained throughout the day, but thankfully everything was bright and merry inside, both at the church and the reception, and the wedding was a big success. I also got the photos I wanted, though not without getting a little wet!
Nicole and Luke got married at St Vincents Catholic Church, and from there we went to Emerald Lakes for the shoot. Afterwards we went to Robina Woods for the evening formalities. It was lots of fun, although we had to take the family and group photos in the foyer to avoid the weather, they came out very nicely, and everyone was very patient throughout. It’s not an easy thing dragging people way from their food and wine to squash them together for photos, but we pulled it off in the end!
Nicole and Luke are both wonderful, easy-going and patient people, and it was a pleasure to be their photographer for their big day. I wish you guys all the best for the future, and I hope you like the sneak preview below
Toni & Shaun – Southport
I had the good fortune of photographing the wedding of Toni and Shaun Tremlett last weekend. Toni got ready at the Hilton, Surfers Paradise. The ceremony was originally going to take place at Macintosh Island Park, but the weather conspired against us, and the nuptials were moved to the location of the recepion, which was at L’Esprit On The Water.
Despite the rain, the mood remained bright throughout. The celebrant wore an Elvis suit, which added a quirky, light-hearted twist to the ceremony. Afterwards, we went to Emerald Lakes for photos. By the time we had returned the guests were well on their way towards a merry evening!
A beautiful, intimate wedding. My warmest congratulations to the bride and groom. Enjoy the photo preview!
Celeste & Alex – Emmanuel College
Celeste & Alex’s wedding took place at Emmanuel College Chapel. It was a perfect autumn day and the bride and groom looked radiant as they took their vows in the old wooden chapel. After the ceremony, we took some photos in front of the chapel and then went to the nearby Emerald Lakes for some extra photos by the water, and in and around the French Quarter. Then it was off to the reception, a grand affair at the handsome colonial golf course. Needless to say, the mood was bouyant throughout the day, but it went up an extra notch after all the formalities were done, and the groom started showcasing his unique dance talents to an overawed audience. The bouquet toss was another highlight of an eventful evening, with a basketball player snatching the bouquet at least 8 feet above her hapless friends. No doubt a new wedding is in the offing sometime soon!
Thanks for all involved for inviting me to be a part of what was a wonderful day. And congratulations to Alex and Celeste. I have no doubt these two will spend the rest of their lives together in absolute bliss.
Enjoy the sample photos!
