Camilla & Dean – Tweed heads

A few months back I was invited to shoot the wedding of Camilla and Dean, who were married in a quaint ceremony at Tweed heads. I started out the day at Palm Beach, documenting the preparation of both the boys and girls as they went about their business of getting ready for the nuptials. Then it was off to Tweed Heads, where the couple tied the knot outside, under the leafy branches of several large fig trees and a glorious blue sky.

When the vows were spoken and the deeds signed, we took some photos nearby, and then headed off to Fingal for a late afternoon photo shoot. We didn’t have much time, but we got some lovely shots, and a good time was had by all. Afterwards we returned to the Tweed Heads Golf Club for the reception, a moving and emotional evening. The entertainment for the night was the exquisite band The Lamplights, who entertained the guests long into the night.

A lovely wedding, a beautiful bride, and a happy and handsome groom. Thank you for having me guys, and I hope you enjoy the sample photos – many more to come!

Jess & Rob – Coolangatta

A little while back I photographed the wedding of Jess & Rob down at Coolangatta. The ceremony took place on Froggy’s Beach, a small wedge of sand between Snapper Rocks and Point Danger. It’s a beautiful location, bordered by green, pandanas-hung slopes to the west and the pacific to the east, and watched over by the beach’s namesake, a giant green frog-rock.

Keeping with the beach theme, the bride arrived in a beautiful old combie van, and then walked down the wooden path to the shore, led by her bridesmaids & flowergirls, and accompanied by her father. The ceremony was briefly interupted by a rogue wave that swept up the sandy aisle, but otherwise everything went according to plan. Afterwards we took some photos at Froggy’s and then wandered around to Snapper Rocks and the green slopes above it for pictures of the bridal party and the newly wed couple.

When the light finally departed, we left for the nearby Komune Resort, which was the location of the reception. There the guests drank and partied long into the night!

Great wedding, beautiful couple – congratulations guys!
